This procedure slightly elevates the low position of the eyebrows, softens horizontal creases across the forehead and helps to erase the worried or angry expressions. The outcome is a more relaxed and refreshed appearance. A brow lift can take years from a patient's face.

The brow lift is now performed endoscopically through very small incisions hidden in the hairline. Using this technique, Dr. Sumpter can also reduce the size of muscles responsible for frowning by removing a portion of it, producing a smoother brow. Incisions can also be placed slightly behind the hairline.

A brow lift is usually performed with local anesthesia and some intravenous sedation. It requires one to two hours of surgery time and approximately one week of recovery. The results can last up to 10 years.
